Pono means so much to the Hawaiian people. It carries a lot of mana (power) with it. And since I am currently living in Riverside, CA, away from the islands, the name continues to remind me how much kuleana (responsibility) I have toward that mana.

I find myself wearing many hats. Being an artist is one of them. And I absolutely love committing myself to sharing my culture and educating so many others about kanaka maoli.

Therefore, so much of my art is dedicated to telling people about the Hawaiian culture through my art. At the same time, just having straight up good fun!
